Welcome! We are here for you.

All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ.

St. Elizabeth’s is a vital, pastoral sized parish in the greater Raleigh Court area of southwest Roanoke.  We are a Eucharistic centered faith community that celebrates the mercy of God shown us especially in Jesus Christ.  What holds us together is not the purity of our beliefs but the greatness of God’s love and our willingness to trust the Holy Spirit’s guidance over time.  Like our patron saints, St. Elizabeth of Palestine (cousin of the Virgin Mary & mother of John the Baptist) and St. Elizabeth of Hungary (one of the greatest medieval women saints), St. E’s is known at its best for its radical hospitality, faithfulness, fellowship, and compassion.  We make a place for others because God makes a place for us and we try to extend that welcome to the ends of the earth.

With many others, St. E’s is working to eliminate extreme poverty, hunger, and preventable diseases in the Developing World through the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s).  We are engaged in ministries in East Africa, Mexico/Habitat for Humanity International, Stop Hunger Now, FINCA, and Episcopal Relief & Development.  Locally, we support the Southwest Social Club, Ronald McDonald House, St. Francis House Food Pantry, Mental Health Research, and the Raleigh Court Elementary School.  We offer several week long theme-based Summer Camps, ASAP, an after-school tutoring program, a Knitting Ministry, a Movie Discussion Group, and a Wednesday night Supper and Bible Study.

Please join us on Sundays at 8 or 10 am to proclaim the greatness of God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who is more gracious to us than we could ever ask for or imagine.  Find the home you have been looking for @ St. E’s.

God bless you.

Affectionately,

Richard Fife +, Rector
